If you know what you're doing, you can make very nice sites with Notepad. (Granted, it's a royal pain - Notepad Plus makes it a lot easier - and it's still free.) If you don't know what you're doing, even Dreamweaver won't help you much. About your only option, if you don't want to spend 6 months learning, is a CMS. Go to http://php.opensourcecms.com/ (or http://asp.opensourcecms.com/ if you bought Windows hosting), try some of the demos and see if there's anything you like. They're free, they have support forums and they don't take any programming knowledge to set up. (Except for Joomla and Drupal, which are really coding libraries, not sites.)
