Hi,
I know how you feel. There was a time when I didn’t know where to start either. Some people were telling me I could learn on my own by using certain sites and some people were telling me to use WYSIWYG software. Then there was the whole issue with how to get it hosted and getting a domain name. After a while I learned how to do all these things myself. I learned how to design, how to code, how to host and how to make money online. If you want some help designing or want someone to tell you where to start I can help you. here is a nice site for you to learn HTML the most basic of the Web Designers Languages:

you can build a site in Notepad

a free HTML Editor like:
HateML Pro (free) – http://www.migajek.com/?c=hateml
Pagebreeze (free) – http://www.pagebreeze.com/

then all you need is a graphics program (free) like:
GIMP – http://www.gimp.org/

There are plenty of websites to help you do it yourself such as websites that tell you how to use Photoshop and how to understand HTML. Also there are alot of websites out there with premade layouts. I did a search for premade layouts on Google: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&rls=com.microsoft%3Aen-us&q=premade+blog+layouts

I would make one for you but I prefer to help people out instead, that way you learn on your own and you don’t have to rely on others.

Download Yahoo Site Builder software (free) build your site…then take Yahoo hosting services. You can upload your website and update it easily through Site builder….plenty of templates, etc.Try it. It’s not that complicated. Also, you don’t need to have any designing or creating website experiences. Good luck.

It takes a long time to learn website design. I have spent about ten years so far learning it, and there is always something new to learn. You can get the basics from a vocational school, or get software like Dreamweaver and Photoshop and study the manuals (that’s how I did it), or teach yourself using the tutorials at About.com and other web sites.
